06/18/12 - Final Glance: Powerade-Petron trade - still Unfair?
I'd just like to say.. that..
2. But despite that, I still wouldn't have agreed to the trade.
NO TRADE
CON: 4 other "competent" players stagnating in the the PETRON and Barako bench
PRO: 4 formerly stagnant players now getting quality minutes, accolades and ending the season (and possible title) with them
1 - front runner of Rookie of the Year (but will most likely not get it because he got injured) who will have to play less minutes in opposing team, due to their already deep line-up 1 - supporting point guard who got traded twice, and is now, basically stagnating in the Barako bench 1 - starting center who had finally got valued for what he was really worth... I'd still choose NO TRADE.
[it just sucks that we had to loose to our trade partners' Petron and Barako, before Omar Sneed came and our winning streak could start] As for rotation: Gary and Jvee are still basically playing the same minutes... but at least everyone else gets to have a bigger share in minutes than before, and most importantly... we're showing that while other teams have gotten weaker... we've now become faster, scrappier, and a hell of a more explosive than before. ------------------------conclusion------------------------- It's over... it's done... we've moved on... we're still happy... we're still fired up... and most importantly... we're still the Powerade Tigers and WE ALWAYS BELIEVE... ---------------------plea to the higher powers--------------- |
