1. Fans - they provide moral support to the team that they are cheering for... esp during the losing time... 2. PBA players may compete on the court, but they are a close knit community. 3. Watching basketball breaks the social structure of society... everyone mingles with each other... 4. Its difficult to be part of Ginebra (the most popular team)... yes, you have alot of fans... but they both cheer and jeer... 5. I'm glad that despite Gary David has never won championship, he would never wish have James Yap's life despite the 2 time MVP, countless endorsements, and yes, championships. Having Jenn, Maxene, Gariel, and Jeylaa there at every playing date does alot to wash away the bitterness of the loss. When is all is said and done... his career is deemed a success because his family is intact... and is provided for... happy... and whole. 6. I only took a picture with one person... and that's Mico Halili.... imagine my delight that he recognized me...and though i cannot divulge what he told me... all i can say... that it was worth staying through the 2nd game ... and going home late... and it brings tears to my eyes now as i write this down... (deep breath) |
- see Gary David win... after the chaotic end to last season, and a crappy 1st 2 conferences... he deserves to win
- witness history happen... and if possible, write about it..
- experience being part of the crowd that fully cheers for one team... and we would totally have the right
- be able to sing the national anthem... and feel the tears falling on my cheeks because of the enormity of the event...
- see the sport that we claimed and loved as our own finally awknowledge us too...
- see join the nation in cheering our team on... to shout encouragement... to give comfort during loss... and cry tears of relief in moments of victory...
